ABOUT THE ARTIST
Frannie Potts is a Toronto-based mural artist and workshop facilitator. Much of her public art meets at the intersection of whimsical and surreal, captivating viewers’ attention with brightly coloured figures and abstract backgrounds.
Since the start of her professional art career, Frannie has worked with organizations such as Scarborough Arts, Mural Routes, StArt Toronto, Vibe Arts, Urban Arts and more. In the past eight years, Frannie has created over 30 murals of varying sizes that can be seen across the Greater Toronto Area.
Through her experience, she has found that art and community have a symbiotic relationship that brings out the best in each other, and this is something that she loves to foster through her work.
Frannie has notably received a platinum level certificate upon completion of the Mural Art Development Course with Mural Routes and completed a three-month internship for mural painting in California in 2018. To date, her work has been featured on CP24, The York Guardian and Toronto.com.
